What is your returns policy?

We want you to be completely happy with your purchase. If your item arrives damaged or with a print quality issue, please contact us at make_life_shine@outlook.com with a photo of both the packaging and the item within 14 days of delivery, and we will resolve this promptly at no cost to you.

For returns under your statutory rights, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty. Where a return is accepted, we will issue a store credit to use against a future purchase.

What age range are your books suitable for?

Our children's picture books are designed to be enjoyed from birth, making them perfect for reading aloud to babies and toddlers, as well as independent reading for children up to age 7. They are ideal for bedtime reading, early learning, and thoughtful gifts for little ones.

We also publish wellness and wellbeing titles for adults, so whether you are shopping for a child or treating yourself, we have something for everyone at Make Life Shine Publishing.

Who is the author of your books?

All books published by Make Life Shine Publishing are written by Amanda, the founder of Make Life Shine. Amanda is an independent UK author and publisher who writes and produces every title herself, from the initial story concept right through to publication.

Her children's picture books are written with warmth, imagination, and a love of early childhood development, while her wellness titles reflect a passion for mindfulness and wellbeing.

Are your books available in paperback or hardback?

All of our books are currently available in paperback. We do not currently offer hardback editions, although this is something we may explore in the future as our catalogue grows.

How do I track my order?

Each book is ordered in especially for you, so please allow 5 to 7 working days for processing and dispatch. Your order will not leave us before this time.

Once dispatched, all orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48, meaning delivery is typically within 2 working days of dispatch. You will receive a confirmation email containing your tracking number and a link to track your parcel on the Royal Mail website.

If you have any concerns about your order or have not received it within 10 working days of your dispatch confirmation, please contact us at make_life_shine@outlook.com.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

As most of our books are ordered in especially for you, we have a very short window to make changes or cancellations. If you need to amend or cancel your order, please contact us at make_life_shine@outlook.com within 24 hours of placing your order and we will do our best to help.

If your order has already been placed with our supplier, we may be unable to cancel it. In this case, our returns policy will apply once you receive your order. For in-stock items, please contact us as soon as possible and we will try to accommodate your request before dispatch.

Do you offer gift wrapping or gift messages?

Every order from Make Life Shine Publishing is lovingly wrapped in tissue paper and sealed with our signature Make Life Shine sticker, and includes a personal thank you card, making each book feel like a special gift straight out of the box.

We do not currently offer personalised gift messages, although this is something we hope to introduce in the future.

Are your books suitable as gifts?

Absolutely. Our books make wonderful gifts for children and adults alike. Every order arrives beautifully presented in tissue paper, sealed with our signature Make Life Shine sticker, and includes a personal thank you card, so your gift is ready to give straight from the box.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship within the United Kingdom only. We do not offer international shipping at this time, although this is something we hope to expand in the future.

Do you have a newsletter or discount for first-time buyers?

We reward our returning customers with a loyalty discount. Spend over £10 on your next order and receive 10% off as a thank you for coming back.

We do not currently have a traditional newsletter, but we do send emails to our customers when new books are released or when we have exciting updates to share. To make sure you do not miss out, you can sign up via our website.
